After School Program
(Ages 13 - 18)
Our After-School Program goes beyond teaching woodworking—it also fosters entrepreneurial and life skills, all within a fun, engaging, and rewarding environment.
Students gain access to invaluable opportunities and resources while building lasting friendships and acquiring skills that will serve them for years to come.
With supportive adult role models and mentorship, we help boost self-confidence, enhance social skills, and inspire a passion for academic success.
Kids Making It creates young entrepreneurs who have the opportunity to keep or sell their work in our Castle Street gift shop, at festivals and other events where they can earn 100% of the profit from the sale of any item they have made.
Through mentorship, skill-building, and the opportunity to create, we help kids build confidence, responsibility, and a sense of pride in their work. Our goal is to inspire and empower each student to succeed in life and career by teaching them not just how to build, but how to dream, achieve, and lead.

Once students are ready to take their skills to the next level, they can join our Skilled Trades Program. Here, they dive into the core principles of various trades, including electrical, plumbing, and construction carpentry. They get hands-on experience creating larger-scale projects like potting benches, wired lamps, fish cleaning stations, and even garden sheds!
If a student discovers a trade they’re passionate about and interested in pursuing as a career, we provide guidance to help them navigate the path to licensure and certification, preparing them for a successful and promising future in that field.
The Foundations of Success Program empowers students with essential life skills, academic support, and career-focused experiences to set them up for long-term success. Through personalized tutoring, financial literacy, resume building, guest speakers, and exciting field trips, we provide the tools they need to thrive.
By working closely with students, families, and school staff, we create a supportive environment that fosters academic achievement, resilience, and personal growth.
Through our continuum of programs, we ignite creativity, cultivate essential life and career skills, drive academic achievement, and empower students to become confident, resilient, and visionary leaders. Our mission is to support each student holistically, unlocking their full potential and equipping them with the tools to build a powerful foundation for a successful and impactul future.
You get to escape reality here. You get to build and create and get away from the real world for a while.

Summertime: Monday-Friday : 3pm – 5pm
School Year: Monday-Friday : 4pm – 6pm
Applications are accepted year round!
